1. What experience, skills, aptitudes or traits do you have or think you
may have that could be of use to a potential employer?
2. Have you developed skills that you have not used at work? If so, explain

3. Do you have military experience (include Coast Guard and Merchant Marine)?
Please indicate the branch, grade or specialty and whether it was for
active duty, reserves, National Guard, etc.? Were you discharged? What
were your duties and accomplishments? Have you received medals, citations,
commendations, and promotions?
4. List your presentations and publications.
5. Have you been involved in training of fellow workers?
6. What is your level of computer literacy and related skills? What programs
are you comfortable using (word processors; spread sheets; data bases,
or publishers)?
7. What foreign languages do you know and what is your level of skills
in each?

2. How large a budget have you managed? Was this for profit or a non-profit
institution?
3. To whom did you report (name)? What was this personšs title?
4. Have you served as a liaison between groups or key individuals? Resolved
any conflicts? Served as a mentor to anyone?
5. Did you ever take part in Strategic Planning? To what extent?
6. Did you set, evaluate, or participate in setting any policy or by-laws?
7. Have you evaluated any individual or group performance or any task
or research project?
8. Did you communicate with customers? On what basis? 1. Rank your communication

9. Have you worked with suppliers or subcontractors? If so, in what capacity?

ACHIEVEMENTS/ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
1. To what extent have you helped reduce costs or increased profits?
2. What has your contribution been to a project or program and what gains
were achieved?
3. What have you done as a volunteer beyond the regular duties of your
position?
4. Have you written proposals or take part in proposal teams? What was
your contribution to winning and what was the teams percentage of wins?
5. Have you ever served as a troubleshooter? In what area? What did you
resolve?
6. Have you prepared surveys or other research or studies? What were your
final recommendations?
7. Have you organized events, conferences, meetings? How many? How many
participants were involved?
8. Have you ever consulted for anyone inside or outside the organization?
AWARDS/RECOGNITIONS:
1. Were you praised, recognized or given an award for an assignment,
for a particular method of work, or for a trait of character? By whom
and how did this occur?
2. Were you ever promoted ahead of schedule or been selected for "sensational"
responsibilities? We hope some of the above questions help you to think
through your resume that may be the only chance you have at introducing
how special you are.
